Risedale Family Sparks Creativity with New #RisedaleBESTartist Social Media Campaign.
This week marks the official launch of #RisedaleBESTartist, an exciting new initiative designed to showcase the artistic talents of pupils both inside and outside the classroom. The school is inviting the entire Risedale Family—pupils, parents, and carers—to help build a digital gallery of the school's finest creative works.
A Virtual Gallery for All
The campaign encourages everyone within the Risedale Family to share photographs of artwork or crafts created by pupils. Participation is simple and focuses on the art itself:
- Who can post: Pupils are encouraged to share their own creations, while parents and carers can post on their behalf.
- How to join: Simply use the hashtag #RisedaleBESTartist on social media to add to the school's growing online collection.
- Privacy First: To keep the focus on the talent, no personal information is required—just the art!
Monthly Photography Drop-In for KS3
To support the launch, Ms Westwood has introduced a monthly Photography Drop-In specifically for Key Stage 3 pupils. These sessions are designed to help pupils capture high-quality images of their sketchbook work so they can share their progress with family members or post to the online gallery.
Note: In a show of trust and responsibility, KS3 pupils will be permitted to use their mobile phone cameras during this specific window. This use is strictly supervised and limited to photographing their artwork within the Art Room.
Building the "BEST" Together
The initiative reflects Risedale’s core values of RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT, RESILIENCE, and RELATIONSHIPS. By celebrating pupil achievements in the arts, the school aims to strengthen the bond within the Risedale Family and provide a platform for young artists to take pride in their hard work.
