Mr Yale Hello, my name is Mr Yale, and I am the Transition Manager and an Assistant Headteacher at Risedale School.

I oversee the transition process for our new pupils, and I am very much looking forward to welcoming your child to the Risedale Family. We understand that the transition to secondary school can be an exciting yet nerve-wracking time for both pupils and their families, and I want to reassure you that Risedale School is committed to supporting them every step of the way.

Key Admissions Dates for Parents (Secondary Schools)

12 September 2026 - Secondary School application round opens
31 October 2026 - Closing date for applications
30 November 2026 - Last date to make a change to an application
1 March 2027 - National Offer Day

Prospective parents/carers must first complete an application to North Yorkshire Council and then, when your place has been confirmed, you will be sent a link from the Risedale Admin Team to complete our school's online Pupil Admission Form.

Open Evening Invitation

You are warmly invited to attend Risedale School's Open Evening on Wednesday, 30th September from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

Headteacher Welcome Talk: 6:10pm in the Main School Hall.

Our invitation extends to families of both Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. We want to show you everything our vibrant school community has to offer, and we hope you will join us to see why you should MAKE RISEDALE YOUR FIRST CHOICE.
