Governors play a vital role in driving the strategic direction of their local schools for their community. They work tirelessly to ensure that all young people access an education that will give them the best chance of success in their life and ensure that school leaders do their very best to use school funds and staffing to achieve positive outcomes for all. School governors are appointed for a term of service of up to four years, must be able to pass an enhanced disclosure and barring check (criminal records check) and are not disqualified from holding office for any of the reasons set out in the Disqualification Declaration document.

If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact Stephanie Blood for an appointment to speak with a senior colleague in the school who will be happy to talk through the role with you. If you would like to apply for the role, please complete the electronic nomination form which includes a short personal statement (no more than 250 words) about yourself and why you would like to represent other parents in your community. If you can, please also state what difference you would make to the role. What you write will be printed on the election papers for other parents to see.

You would join us at a very exciting time on our journey. Progress is rising, attendance is above the national average, exclusions are very low, there are more subjects on offer to pupils and the school is rated as GOOD by Ofsted. But our journey of improvement is not yet complete….. can YOU help us to get there? APPLY TODAY!
