Year 9 pupils are finishing their Key Stage 3 journey on a high, with nearly a third of the year group already demonstrating GCSE-standard excellence in their latest Pop Art projects.
As a follow-up to the fantastic clay ‘Paolozzi’ sculptures made in Art last term, Year 9 have now completed their Pop Art projects, and aren’t they brilliant!!
Across the year group, 30 pupils (almost 1/3 of the year group) achieved levels of excellence in one or more of the assessment criteria, which means they are already demonstrating skills at GCSE standards. Many other pupils demonstrated visible improvements in their sketchbook presentation methods and practical art skills.
It really is brilliant to see our Year 9 pupils making a last push for achievement at the end of their Key Stage 3 journey, regardless of their option choices.
Well done, Year 9!
