Our Year 10 Chemistry pupils have been putting their laboratory skills into action this week, focusing on essential separation techniques.
Working in the lab, pupils carried out filtration practicals to separate insoluble solids from liquids using filter funnels and paper. The activity allowed pupils to directly link theoretical core chemistry concepts—such as mixtures, solubility, and precipitates—to hands-on practical application.
It was wonderful to see our pupils demonstrating great teamwork, scientific precision, and enthusiasm in their lab work throughout the session.
