Our Year 8 boys’ football team showed fantastic RESILIENCE this week, battling freezing temperatures in a tough Area Plate semi-final against SFX.
The first half was a cagey affair, with the score sitting at 2-1 by the break. Risedale’s standout moment was a masterclass in RELATIONSHIPS and teamwork: Flynn Hampson whipped in a dangerous free kick to Billy Maclean, who made a selfless run to square the ball for Alfie Davies to finish clinically.
Despite the narrow 2-1 result, the boys demonstrated great RESPECT and sportsmanship throughout. They gave a brilliant account of themselves and the Risedale family.
Well done, #TeamRisedale—and good luck to SFX in the final!
