Sports Day 2025 🏆

16/07/2025 Sports News

This year's Sports Day was a huge success, with pupils showcasing incredible talent and determination, leading to a thrilling victory for Pankhurst House ๐Ÿ’œ.

What a fantastic Sports Day we had on Wednesday, 16th July 2025! The spirit of the event was stronger than ever, and we couldn't be prouder of how our pupils and staff made the day a huge success.

A big thank you to all the parents/carers, pupils and teachers for your patience and flexibility with the schedule change. Your support made sure the day ran smoothly and allowed everyone to enjoy all the events.

Throughout the day, our pupils showed pride in their school, demonstrating our values of RESPECT and RESILIENCE, and the determination to succeed in every race, throw, and jump. From sprint finishes to cheerleading acrobatics and the intense tug of war, every event showcased the incredible talent and character of our young people.

Congratulations to Pankhurst House ๐Ÿ’œ for winning the day in a thrilling and close competition, just ahead of Attenborough House ๐Ÿ’™. Your perseverance and commitment truly paid off!

A special well done to everyone who took part. As we discussed in our pre-Sports Day assembly, you all embodied the true meaning of the Olympic Creed: "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle."

Thank you again to everyone who made the day a memorable celebration of sport, community, and #TeamRisedale spirit ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿงกโค๏ธ.
