Ten years after raising £11,000 in memory of beloved teacher Gill Harden, the Risedale Family is reuniting at Darlington South Park to honour her legacy and race for life once again.
Ten years ago, the Risedale School community raised a staggering £11,000 for Cancer Research UK following the loss of beloved teacher Gill Harden, who passed away just three weeks after her diagnosis.
To mark the 10th anniversary, a team of current and former Risedale Family staff is reuniting for the Race for Life on Sunday, 7th June 2026. The team is calling on former pupils, friends, family and those who knew Mrs Harden to support their mission once again.
How to Help:
🩷 Donate: Support the team’s legacy by donating to their JustGiving fundraising page here: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/jane-and-friends-105
📣 Cheer the Team On: Whether you are a former pupil, a colleague, or a friend of the school, please come along to Darlington South Park at 11:00 am on Sunday, 7th June. Your presence on the sidelines will give our runners the ultimate boost as they reach the finish line. Bring your families, your loudest cheers, and your BEST memories of Mrs Harden—let’s turn the park into a sea of pink and make this 10-year tribute truly unforgettable.
