We are beyond excited to announce that the Risedale School Music Department has officially secured funding from the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation! This incredible support is a game-changer for our pupils, providing us with the resources to upgrade our equipment and expand musical opportunities across the school.

On receiving the funding, Head of Expressive Arts, Mrs Lumsdon, said:

"At Risedale, we want every pupil to be the BEST version of themselves. This funding allows us to foster RESILIENCE as pupils tackle new musical challenges and build stronger RELATIONSHIPS through collaborative performance. By taking RESPONSIBILITY for these professional-grade instruments and showing RESPECT for the creative process, our pupils are not just learning music—they are developing the core values that define our school family."

This partnership reinforces our commitment to a well-rounded education where the arts are celebrated and accessible to all. We look forward to hearing the results of this funding echoing throughout the school very soon!
