A massive congratulations to our Examinations and Data Manager, Mrs Annelie Whitfield, who conquered the London Marathon this weekend in under 5 hours! 

Mrs Whitfield is a dedicated member of the Swaledale Runners, and this was an incredible milestone in her running career. She has now completed a staggering 5 London Marathons, adding to an impressive global list that includes Brighton, Istanbul, New York, Budapest, and the Midsummer Marathon in Tromsø!

"It was a fantastic day, and the atmosphere was incredible," said Mrs Whitfield. "I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Risedale for all their support and lovely wishes!"

With the finish line behind her, Mrs Whitfield is now focused on supporting our pupils as the exam season approaches. We know her "marathon" grit and determination will be a huge inspiration to them all over the coming weeks!
