This week, History Teacher Mr Shergold and pupil speakers Violet Hind, Alisha Kincaid, and Aiden Scott have been delivering assemblies about VE Day. With VE Day falling this Friday, 8th May 2026, these sessions have been vital in helping pupils across the school understand this important historical event.

As a school with deep military connections and many Service families, this anniversary is incredibly important to us. Our speakers truly lived our BEST values by showing:

🩵 RESPONSIBILITY: Stepping up as leaders to ensure the importance of remembrance is shared with the whole school.

💜 RESPECT: Honouring the sacrifices made by those who came before us.

🧡 RESILIENCE: Demonstrating the courage to speak in front of their peers.

❤️ RELATIONSHIPS: Strengthening our school family and military community bonds.

Mr Shergold praised the team by saying:
