Our day kicked off with an inspiring assembly led by Senior Teacher Mrs Cox for Years 7-10. We heard about the achievements of incredible women throughout history and were encouraged to follow our own dreams.

Let Girls Play!

To mark International Women's Day, ten amazing Year 7 girls from Risedale took part in the biggest-ever football session run by the national Girls’ Football in Schools Partnership! This #LetGirlsPlay event, hosted by Richmond School, aimed to promote a love for the sport and provided a fantastic opportunity for our girls to play in a friendly tournament against other local schools.

The Risedale team showed true grit and determination throughout the day, playing a total of 6 games. While they may not have come away with wins in every match (drawing 1 and losing 5), their teamwork, perseverance, and pure enjoyment of the game shone through! ⚽️ 

We're so proud of our girls for embracing this opportunity and celebrating International Women's Day by playing the beautiful game!
