Creativity and commitment were on full display as pupils from all year groups worked together in the Art Studio, with Year 11 focusing their RESILIENCE on the final preparations for their upcoming exams.
The Art Department was a hive of activity this week as pupils from across the school gathered for Ms Westwood's after-school sessions. It was fantastic to see so many pupils working collaboratively, demonstrating our core school values of RESPONSIBILITY and RESILIENCE.
A Studio Full of Talent
The session saw a brilliant cross-section of our school community working toward different creative goals:
- Year 11 Exam Readiness: With their final 2-day GCSE Art Exam fast approaching on 25th & 26th March, our Year 11 pupils showed immense focus, utilising the time to perfect their portfolios and refine their final ideas.
- KS4 Open Access Studio Time: Year 10 pupils took full advantage of the professional studio environment to develop their independent projects.
- Art Talent Programme: Our talented pupils from Years 8, 9, and 10 were busy honing their technical skills and exploring new artistic horizons as part of this specialist programme.
Being the BEST Versions of Themselves
At Risedale, we aspire for every pupil to be the BEST version of themselves. Seeing pupils from different year groups supporting one another and taking ownership of their creative journeys was a perfect example of our "Family of Learners" in action.
Ms Westwood was delighted with the turnout and the high standard of work produced. Well done to all our pupils for their hard work and dedication!
