Tune in this summer to hear our Year 7 Service pupils broadcasting daily STEM facts to the global military community!
A huge shout-out to the Year 7 Service pupils who spent the morning of Monday, 13th July, stepping into the shoes of professional broadcasters to support BFBS Radio, the armed forces broadcaster. The unique initiative aims to connect military families worldwide through the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) education.
The young broadcasters took over the microphones to record a series of engaging, bite-sized STEM facts. These educational snippets are scheduled to be broadcast globally, reaching the wider military community and forces families stationed across the globe.
The special segments will air throughout the upcoming summer holidays. Listeners can tune in daily at 8:15 AM during the morning slot to hear the pupils deliver their facts.
Opportunities like this are a wonderful way for our Service children to build confidence while connecting directly with the international military community.
"It was great to see our pupils growing in confidence," said Dr Ellis, Service Pupil Manager. "Thank you to BFBS for the opportunity to connect with the wider military community."
Excellent work, Year 7. We can't wait to hear your voices on the airwaves this summer!
