Risedale’s Service Pupils demonstrated our BEST values while enjoying a brilliant day of activities, sun and ice cream at the Festival of the Military Child.
On Friday, 1st of May, Service Pupils from Risedale School had the pleasure of being invited to Carnagill Primary School to take part in their Month of the Military Child Festival. It was a fantastic day dedicated to celebrating the RESILIENCE and spirit of our service-connected pupils and their families.
The day was packed with fun activities for everyone to enjoy, though the visit from the ice cream van was a definite crowd favourite in the sunshine. The real highlight, however, was watching our pupils in action. Our pupils stepped up to help the organisers run the event, demonstrating our BEST school values throughout the day.
Their hard work didn't go unnoticed, with Angela Campbell, Service Children's Community Champion, sharing on Facebook:
"What a wonderful group of young people! They were so kind to the younger children, helping to man some of the activity stations whilst also joining in the fun. I am so glad they all joined us for this special event!"
Following the event, pupils were also presented with special certificates of participation to recognise their hard work and contribution to the festival's success. We are incredibly proud of how our pupils represented our community!
A huge thank you to Carnagill Primary School for having us.
