Risedale welcomed North Yorkshire Police for a vital assembly on County Lines, empowering our pupils to take RESPONSIBILITY for their safety and recognise the signs of exploitation.
A huge thank you to PCSOs Paul Enbom and Katie Whitehead from North Yorkshire Police for visiting our school on Wednesday, 4th March, to deliver a vital presentation on County Lines.
At Risedale, our vision is to ensure every pupil is supported to be the BEST version of themselves. This assembly was a key part of that mission, encouraging our pupils to take RESPONSIBILITY for their own safety and the wellbeing of their peers. By staying informed about the complexities of exploitation, our pupils are better equipped to become the responsible, respectful, and resilient citizens we know they can be.
Key Takeaways for Pupils:
- Recognising the Signs: Understanding the subtle indicators of exploitation and "grooming."
- Staying Safe: Practical advice on navigating social pressures and staying out of harm's way.
- Finding Support: Clear guidance on which trusted adults and professional services to turn to if they have concerns.
