Catering

At Risedale we have a dedicated team, who work hard to produce a wide variety of meals for both students and staff and all of our food is cooked fresh daily.

The school operates a 'cashless system' for purchasing food, this is where students use cash to top up their balance in school by using the Reval Machines available in the dining hall or parents can top-up using 'ParentPay' online. By using the ParentPay facility parents are also able to check their child's balance and see what they have purchased to eat.

We supply a range of healthy drinks and snacks to suit every taste and to give students extra value for money we also offer a wide range of 'Meal-Deals'; these include a daily main meal and a pudding for ¬£2.50 (see Price List). If your child qualifies for a 'Free School Meal' their daily allowance will cover the cost of a two course meal. We aim to meet our students' and staffs' dietary needs, please inform the school of any allergies or dietary requirements your child may have which can then be passed onto the school Catering Manager. Please click here to view a list of dishes and their allergen content.

A typical day's menu for our students

Breakfast club: open between 8am and 8.30am every morning. Our menu includes;

  • Various cereals
  • Toast
  • Oven baked sausage and bacon rolls
  • Hot and cold drinks

At break time: we offer a range of freshly prepared hot and cold snacks including;

  • Bacon Rolls
  • Pizza slices and wheels
  • Garlic Bread
  • Cheese on toast
  • Beans on toast
  • Toasted bagels
  • Cinnamon wheels
  • Freshly prepared baguettes, sandwiches & wraps
  • Fruit pots, yoghurts and fruit bags
  • Hot and cold drinks

At lunchtime: we offer a wide range of freshly prepared food items including pasta pots with homemade sauces, paninis and baked potatoes with a variety of fillings. Every day we have a varied selection of hot main meal dishes; for example on Wednesday we serve a full roast dinner which our students and staff and students always enjoy.
