We were the first school in the country to sign government-backed covenant; formalising and celebrating the union that we have with the Armed Forces community and their families.
Educational Outcomes Award - Specialist Schools Academies Trust
Awarded for being in the top 10% of schools nationally for progress made by pupils between Key Stage 2 at primary school and GCSEs at the age of 16.
This accreditation is awarded to clubs and leagues rigorously adjudged to be well-run and sustainable. We prioritise child protection, quality coaching and implement the ethos of the ‘Respect’ programme.

Recognises how we are benefitting different groups of learners, and how their outcomes are improving as a result of their work.
National Citizen Service 'Champion School' status
Awarded Bronze Champion School status for exceeding expectations in
promoting the NCS programme as well as recruiting students to take part. Open to all young people, regardless of circumstances or additional needs, NCS focuses on three core principles of social cohesion, social engagement and social mobility, all of which have benefits not just to the participants but to communities and society as a whole.

Positive Allies - Level 1 - valid until June 2020
Recognises that as a school we are friendly toward, and inclusive of, people living with HIV and that we actively challenge HIV stigma. Level 1 accreditation valid until June 2020.

This award recognises the high standard of careers guidance provision we offer at Risedale and that as a school we have achieved the national Quality in Careers Standard fulfilling our statutory duty regarding Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG). The latest Statutory Guidance (January 2018) from the DfE to schools builds heavily upon the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks for "Good Careers Guidance", and "strongly recommends" all secondary schools to work towards and achieve the national Quality in Careers Standard: here is the link.
