What to do if there are problems:
Many things can go wrong at exam time – from late buses to major illness. There are lots of things we can do to help; the most important advice is to
contact the exams office URGENTLY if there are any problems. If a candidate is genuinely unable to take an exam (for medical or other valid reason) we need evidence for the exam boards – again, the exam office can give advice on the best way to get this but you must speak to us on the day of the exam. We also need to know as soon as possible about writing hand/arm injuries so we can arrange support.
This document provides useful information for parents and carers on what the 9-1 GCSE grades mean and how to interpret results.
What to do if your GCSE results are not what you expected:
Shine Careers Advisers have put together a set of tips to help students/parents/carers work out what to do now. DO NOT PANIC. You are not the only person who has to reconsider their options. The government has made a promise that there is a study or training place for you. Click here for more information.
